Our Philosophy

At the Helena United Methodist Children’s Center for Creative Enrichment (C.C.C.E.), we strive to offer a happy, loving, Christian environment in both Play School and Preschool. We want to ensure that each child grows physically, mentally, and spiritually to his/her fullest potential. We believe that each child should be treated as an individual and should be given the opportunity for freedom of choices and creative self expression. We want each child to develop and maintain a positive self-image knowing that he/she is special and is a very important person.

We believe that children learn by doing. Creativity, self-help, and responsibility must be fostered. This will be accomplished through a variety of “hands-on” experiences and use of developmentally appropriate material.

We believe that teachers should give direction using a positive, Christian approach and a kind firmness. This direction should be consistent and allow the child full understanding of what is expected of him. Our program is centered around the development of the whole child.
