Mission Week- February 20-27,2022

Our 2022 Mission Week was a huge success!  Thank you to our Global Outreach team for planning this special week at our church so that God could be glorified through us, the church.

One major event during the week was: Stuff the Bus for Firehouse Shelter
Drop-off times were available throughout the week as we Stuffed the Bus for Firehouse!

Other events included:

  • Wednesday, February 23: a dinner with our ministry partners as our special guest. We'll have a chance to hear about their outreach and how we have been a part of that during the year.
  • Saturday, February 26: we will pack 28,500 meals at our 5th annual meal packing event for Rise Against Hunger.
  • Sunday, February 27: this special worship service will provide the opportunity for everyone to make a new Faith Promise pledge for 2022-2023. Your pledge will enable our ministry partners to continue their service to spread the Good News across the street and around the world.

We are currently partnering with the following missionaries and organizations:
Backpack Buddies
Firehouse Ministries
Birmingham Base Facility for Women
Manna Ministries
Ronald McDonald House
The WellHouse
Church Sponsored Local Ministries
Festival of Three Kings
ASP- Appalachian Service Project

Rise Against Hunger

We strive to provide ministries that will encourage us, as a church, to demonstrate the love of God to those who are our neighbors, our community, our nation and the world.

We base our outreach on Acts 1:8 which states:
"You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea, and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

Check our weekly announcements for ongoing opportunities to serve or you may contact Sherri Smith or call the church office at 663-0111 for a list of current mission and service needs. We build our partnerships through our prayers, presence, gifts and service.
